The U-shaped Molybdenum Disilicide Heating Elements are known for their longevity and reliability at a high temperature. It was specially made for industrial and laboratory furnaces, which can withstand oxidation in the high-temperature working atmosphere. MoSi2 devices have low resistivity and have positive resistance-temperature characteristics. Compared to metal heating elements, it can be used under very high watt loads. Due to its high-temperature oxidation resistance, MoSi2 resistors remain constant at a constant temperature throughout their useful life. Even in series, new and old components can be used simultaneously in the same furnace.
